The Timberlast WA screening is quite easy to install. Attached are pictures of screening (wider profile) that a friend of mine installed on the weekend and the new frame that was made to attach to. It looks heaps better than the timber lattice that was falling apart!
Timberlast WA screening can be installed both vertically and horizontally and is designed to span no more than 700 mm between vertical or horizontal supports. It is cosmetic, not structural. Maximum lengths of screening available are 2800 mm.
Timberlast WA screening can be screw fixed with either pan/wafer head or counter sunk/taper head screws. All screws regardless of type will need to have their holes pre-drilled giving approximately 1 mm clearance around the shank.
For pan/wafer head screws it is recommended that the screw be no closer than 10 mm from any edge of the Timberlast WA screening slat measured at the outer edge of the screw head, and for tapered head screws it is recommended that the screw be no closer than 10 mm from any edge of the Timberlast WA screening slat measured at the edge of the pre-drilled tapered seat.
Screws should not be over tightened, but torqued sufficiently to stop any free movement of the Timberlast WA screening slat against its mating surface.
Screening colour can be matched to the colour of your decking.
